AJones is a accomplished singer and actress with a career that spans more than two decades. After starting her career as a top model, Jones was offered a record deal in 1977, producing her first hit, I need a man. Their first album, Portfolio, rose to the top of the charts and produced their second hit single, a celebrated version of La Vie En Rose. After the production of three successful albums during the disco era, Jones shifted her musical direction and became one of the innovators of New Wave. In 1982 a video of her highly praised One Man Show was nominated for a Grammy Award.

Jones made her film debut opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger in Conan’s destroyer as Zulu, the Amazon warrior. She followed this role by playing Mary Day, James Bond’s deadly opponent, in A View to a Kill. Jones later showed her versatility as an actress, playing Eddie Murphy in her first comedic role, and the Stranje modem model in Boomerang. Her other film credits include a role as a seductive vampire in Vamp, Mary Lambert’s siesta and the role of the African Queen Nandi in Shaka Zulu: The Citadel. Jones also earned enthusiastic reviews as Eviline in the touring theater production of the musical The Wiz.

Jones has also produced a number of successful albums, including Bulletproof Heart, Inside Story and the Double CD Private Life. Her only Sex Drive hit number one on Billboard’s dance charts. Jones also played the title song on the soundtrack to the Warner Brothers movie The Avengers titled The Storm.
